Welcome to Speech & Language Support

Welcome to Speech & Language Support

Hello!  My name is Blake Ebbitt and I am so excited to begin a new school year as one of the speech-language pathologists at Norwin School District.  This will be my second year at Norwin, but my seventh year overall providing speech and language support services to students in public schools.  I will provide speech and language support services to students who have difficulties in one or more of the following areas: Articulation, Language (Social Language Skills, Grammar, and Vocabulary), Fluency, and Voice. My goal is to help the students learn to communicate effectively in order to succeed in and out of the classroom.

During therapy, I will collect data to monitor your child’s progress towards his/her communication goals.  I encourage you to promote that your child use his/her best speech and language at home in order to provide consistency over different contexts as well as improve your child’s overall communication.  Thus, each child will be given a speech folder with weekly home practice materials.  Homework should be reviewed and signed by a caregiver (i.e., parent, grandparent, older sibling, babysitter, etc).  Each child will receive "ClassDojo" points for homework completion and for bringing his/her folders to class.  These points can be accumulated and redeemed to earn a reward of your child’s choosing from the “Dojo Shop”.

Some additional information can be found on the left toolbar of my page so that you can become familiar with the routines and practices that take place in the speech and language classroom. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at (724) 861-3000 ext. 6403 (Sunset Valley) and (724) 861-3025 6270 (Sheridan Terrace). I can also be contacted via email at I look forward to working with your child and welcome your support in modeling and reinforcing your child’s communication goals at home!
