Welcome!

Welcome to fourth grade!  My name is Sara White, and I will be your child’s ELA/Social Studies teacher this school year.  I am a graduate of Hempfield Area High School and California University of PA, achieving a Master’s degree and certification in Elementary Education and Secondary English.  I was hired by Norwin in the fall of 2007 as a Substitute Teacher, and since then, I have worked at the Middle School, Hillcrest Intermediate, Sheridan Terrace, Sunset Valley, and Stewartsville Elementaries!  This year is my 15th year, and in that time, I have taught 1st grade, 3rd grade, and Library.  I started here at Sheridan Terrace many years ago and I'm excited to return!

 

I treat each child that enters my room as though they are one of my own, and I always think of them as “my kiddos,” even after they have grown and graduated, as some of my kiddos already have.  I look forward to working together for your child and their successes.  If there should ever come a time where you have a question about our class or have a concerning situation at home you feel you need to share, please email or call me to discuss.  ([email protected] OR 724-861-3025, ext. 6233.)  Please remember that my priority each day is to my students.  I appreciate your consideration and patience as I try to respond to all questions/concerns, whether by phone or email, within 24-48 hours.
