About Our School

Sheridan Terrace Elementary, dedicated in 2003, serves students from Kindergarten through fourth grade. Also included in our school are three Autistic Support classrooms and the services of Learning Support, Speech, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, English as a Second Language, and Gifted Support.  Sheridan Terrace students may also be eligible to receive school-based counseling or out-patient therapy during the school day.  The students at Sheridan Terrace are occupants of Sheridan Terrace, along with Irwin, North Irwin, Shafton, Westmoreland City, Ardara, Larimer, and Altman Farms.

Sheridan Terrace Elementary School operates as a Schoolwide Title I school.  As such, it is tasked to set and achieve important academic goals each year.  A dedicated Schoolwide Title I committee of parents, teachers, specialists, and administrators meet regularly to ensure high quality, responsive instruction and to monitor students' academic growth.  In 2014, Sheridan Terrace Elementary School earned the Governor's Award for Excellence in Academics.

The Sheridan Terrace PTA and community neighbors advocate for and empower happy, healthy children.  Sheridan Terrace Elementary faculty and staff seek to support, guide, and strengthen students' academic growth, emotional health, social connections, and self-management skills.  Sheridan Terrace is a school that has a reputation for being collaborative, energetic, and positive.
