Mrs. O'Reilly / K-4 Art

Welcome back to another colorful year in the art room!  I am so excited to be

back teaching elementary art for my fifth year at Hahntown and Sheridan Terrace!

A little about me: I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Seton Hill University in Graphic Design and Art Education in 2002.  I have 6 years of previous teaching experience in the Penn-Trafford School District at the elementary level, teaching grades 1-5.  I have also taught elementary aged students at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg.  I am a soccer coach to little ones and have taught art to children ages 2-6 through HappyFeet Pittsburgh.  I am married and have a daughter in middle school and a son in elementary school.  In  my free time, I love doing anything art of course!  You might find me carrying around a sketchbook to capture any great spur of the moment ideas!  I also love spending time with my family, running, playing soccer, roller coasters, and watching football and hockey, especially cheering on the Steelers and Pens!  I am looking forward to a another colorful school year in the art classroom or the virtual art room!  I know this year will look a little different, but I am confident that my students will rise to the challenge and we will grow from this unique experience together.  The motto for this year is, grow through what you go through!  Below you will find an attached parent letter to get you familiar with my expectations for my students regarding rules and grading procedures for each project.
