MEET THE TEACHER!

😊 Hi there! My name is Shannon Snyder, and I will be your child's first grade teacher this year! I am in room 15 at Sheridan Terrace.  You can email me at  [email protected] . A little about me... I earned a BS in Elementary Education at Penn State and a Master's degree at Pitt. Both of my daughters attended Sheridan Terrace, graduated from Norwin, and are Penn State Alumni just like me! So I am familiar with the parent perspective and always keep that in mind. This is my 26th year teaching at Norwin and my 22nd year teaching first grade at Sheridan Terrace. I have also taught at New Kensington-Arnold School District.

 

Here are some fun facts about me! I love the ocean! In fact I just got married on the beach in North Myrtle Beach this past June. (You might recognize me by my old name Mrs. Sturgeon, but I am Mrs. Snyder now!) I also love dogs, koalas, Penn State, smiley faces, music, and TEACHING FIRST GRADE! 😊

 

This will be a special year with lots of fun learning and exciting new experiences! Together I know we can make this a wonderful first grade year! I can't wait to meet your child on the first day of school, Wednesday, Aug. 26!
