Meet the Teacher!

In 2003, Mrs. Slivka received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Clarion University...Go Golden Eagles!  Mrs. Slivka continued her education at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland where she received a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on At-Risk Students.  

 

This year begins Mrs. Slivka's 20th year of teaching!  For the past 11 years, she has been fortunate to teach students in Norwin's Autism support program.  Prior to teaching at Norwin, Mrs. Slivka taught special education in Annapolis, Maryland and worked with students in preK through 5th grade.  

 

Mrs. Slivka enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog, Mia.  They love spending time outdoors and enjoying nature! In the summer, Mrs. Slivka loves gardening and working in her yard.  She also enjoys reading a good book, camping, hiking and swimming.
