Veterans

Veteran's Day Celebration 2025

We will be honoring Veteran's on Monday, November 10th at 9:15 AM. The Veteran's will be treated to breakfast, compliments of the Sheridan Terrace PTA, which will begin at 8:45 AM in the Community Room.
Reservations should be in by Friday, October 31. We will wear red, white, and blue this day. If you have a Veteran that you would like to honor, even if they cannot make the program, please click on the headline to compete the form to register them or to have them honored. Due to seating, the program is only open to staff, students, Veterans, and one guest. Please contact the Sheridan Terrace main office if you have any questions, 724-861-3025.

Sheridan Terrace Student Assistance Program 2025-2026

What is the Student Assistance Program?
This program helps students overcome barriers to learning so that they achieve, remain in school, and advance. It is an intervention program, not a treatment program that integrates a process of information gathering, and referral through a team. Parental permission is necessary for this program.

Red Ribbon Week - October 27 - October 31, 2025

Sheridan Terrace will be celebrating red ribbon week with a week of themed days. Red ribbon week will run from Monday, October 27th through Friday, October 31st. A list of the themed days are listed below (Please remember participation is optional.)

Monday - "We are "RED"y to say no to drugs" - Wear red (Students will receive a red ribbon that they are encouraged to wear for the week)

Tuesday - “Shine “bright”, don’t do drugs" - wear neon or bright colors

Wednesday - "Wake up and Don't Do Drugs" - Wear your favorite pajamas.

Thursday - "Be a "JEANius, Don't Do Drugs" - Wear denim.

Friday - "Scare Drugs Away" - Wear your favorite fall or Halloween shirt.

Night with the Young Knights - Session #1 - Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 6 PM

Night with the Young Knights Session 1:
Knight with the Young Knights 2025-2026
This year, we will be having 3 sessions for Night with the Young Knights. This program targets students who will be entering kindergarten for 2026-2027 school year. Each session will cover a different topic, and we strongly encourage families to attend all 3 sessions.

Mark your calendars, the dates for this year are, Thursday November 13, 2025,
Wednesday, February 11, 2026, and Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
In order for us to have sufficient materials, we kindly ask that you RSVP for each event. Additionally, due to most of the evening being in the kindergarten classrooms, we kindly ask that only one parent attends with the child. We are limiting this due to the size of our classrooms.

Homecoming Spirit Week - September 29 - October 3

Lets celebrate homecoming with a week of dress up fun. Please remember that this is optional.
Monday, September 29 - Denim Day
Tuesday, September 30 - Camo Day
Wednesday, October 1 - We wear pink on Wednesday
Thursday, October 2 - Tropical Thursday
Friday, October 3 - Norwin blue and gold (2-hour early dismissal day)
Friday, October 3rd is the homecoming football game, Norwin vs. Hempfield, the game will begin at 7 PM at Knights Stadium. The homecoming carnival will be held on Friday, October 3rd at the high school beginning at 3:30 PM. The annual Norwin Student Council homecoming parade will be held on Saturday, October 4th in downtown Irwin at 10 AM.
