Transition Night at Sheridan Terrace - May 1, 2024 6-7:30 PM

We are pleased to invite you to one of our most popular annual events - Transition Night: Making a Smooth Move to the Next Grade.  This event provides you with the opportunity to meet with classroom teachers to learn more about what the next school year will look like for your child.  Year after year, families have expressed how beneficial this event has been in helping them understand the expectations for their child as they move to the next grade level.  

This year the event will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 6:00PM-7:30PM at Sheridan Terrace Elementary School.  Children are welcome to come and can choose to either stay with their parents/guardians for the presentation or attend a FREE Fit Kids Activity in the gym while their parents/guardians attend the presentation with the classroom teachers.  

You can sign-up for this event by clicking on the link below to complete the sign-up form or completing the paper copy of the form that was sent home to you.  Please make sure to complete the form by Wednesday, April 26, 2024. 2 Hour Delay/School Cancellation

Please be sure to check the Norwin School District webpage, KDKA, WPXI, or WTAE webpages. In the event of a 2 hour delay, school will begin at 11 AM. Breakfast will not be served when there is a 2 hour delay. The AM/PM Kdg. schedule will be as follows AM students will report at 11 AM and be dismissed at 12:55 PM. PM students will report at 1:35 PM and be dismissed at the normal scheduled time.
In the event of a school closure, please keep in mind that the day cycle will move to the next day school is in session

Monday, March 4th - Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss - Wear your Dr. Seuss shirt

Tuesday, March 5th - "Top Hat Tuesday - Wear something silly on your head. "Wear a crazy hat the cat said"

Wednesday, March 6th - "Wacky Wednesday" - Wear your polka dot and leopard, match plaids with stripes, or wear checkers with fuzz, but whatever you wear, just mix it up!

Thursday, March 7th - "Oh The Places You'll Go"
Wear a t-shirt/sweatshirt from a favorite place that you have visited.

Friday, March 8th - "Snoozy Friday" - Some days it is hard to get out of bed. No need to get dressed, wear your PJs instead! - No slippers please
